PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic compound excellent in the stability of an electric field effect mobility even on being exposed in the atmosphere, and an organic thin film transistor and an organic thin film light-emitting transistor by utilizing the same.;SOLUTION: A benzodithiophene derivative having an aromatic hydrocarbon group or an aromatic heterocyclic ring group at its center is provided. An organic thin film transistor installed with three terminals of a gate electrode, source electrode and drain electrode, an insulation material layer and an organic semiconductor layer on at least a substrate plate, and controlling the electric current between the source-drain by impressing an electric voltage on the gate electrode is provided with that the organic semiconductor layer contains a specific benzodithiophene having the aromatic hydrocarbon group or aromatic heterocyclic ring group at its center. And in the organic thin film transistor, the organic thin film light-emitting transistor is provided by generating the light by utilizing the electric current between the source-drains and controlling the emission of the light by impressing the electric voltage on the gate electrode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
