PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a spatial distribution of color data contains a bias or discontinuity because conventional compression or expansion of a color gamut is implemented by shifting or changing chromaticity points in a prescribed color space. PSOLUTION: A color conversion output device converts color data of a first color gamut to color data of a second color gamut and outputs the converted data to an output device. This color conversion output device includes a color input portion 10 for inputting color data of the first color gamut, a first color mapping portion 11 for mapping color data of the first color gamut as first color data in the second color gamut, a second color mapping portion 12 for mapping color data of the first color gamut as the second color data in the second color gamut, a color combining portion 13 for combining the first color data mapped by the first color mapping portion 11 and the second color data mapped by the second color mapping portion 12, and a color output portion 14 for outputting color data combined by the combining portion to an output device.
