PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light oil reforming apparatus efficiently reforming light oil in an exhaust gas and reforming the light oil sufficiently even under a low temperature condition.;SOLUTION: The light oil reforming apparatus for producing hydrogen and carbon monoxide from the light oil in the exhaust gas discharged from an internal combustion engine 10 is provided with an exhaust gas supply pipe 11 connected to the internal combustion engine 10, a compound oxide support which is arranged in the upstream side of a gas flow passage of the exhaust gas supply pipe 11 and in which a part of titanium in titanium oxide is replaced by at least one kind of a metal selected from a group comprising tantalum and niobium, an oxide catalyst 12 supported by the compound oxide support and containing at least one kind of a catalytic component selected from platinum, palladium and iridium and a rhodium catalyst 13 arranged in the downstream side of the gas flow passage of the exhaust gas supply pipe 11 and containing a metal oxide support and rhodium supported by the metal oxide.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
