PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a navigation system enabling a user to grasp easily a route to a destination, capable of guiding him surely to the destination, or the like. PSOLUTION: In the navigation system S, a route for the user from a starting place to the destination is searched for by using a plurality of route data following a guide route condition from the user, and a guide chart 52 including a guide route 51 generated by connecting the plurality of route data based on a search result is displayed on a portable terminal device MP, to thereby guide the user. The system S is equipped with an image data acquisition means for acquiring image data correlated with a prescribed position on the guide route 51 in due order from the starting place to the destination, a mark arrangement means for arranging a mark 53 showing a user's position on a prescribed position on the guide route 51 with which the image data are correlated, and an output control means for outputting the image data correlated with the prescribed position on the guide route 51 where the mark 53 is arranged together with the guide chart 52.
