PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass substrate conveyance box having an excellent protecting characteristic for a large-sized glass substrate. PSOLUTION: There is provided a box comprising a box main body 2 for use in storing horizontally a plurality of glass substrates α laminated up in their substrate thickness direction and a lid member 60. The box main body comprises a box main body 10, a glass substrate abutting part 30 arranged in the box main body, a glass substrate abutting partition part 40 and a shock absorber part 50. The abutting part 30 is arranged at the inner surface of one of the two pairs of opposing side walls of the box main body, the abutting partition part 40 is arranged in parallel with the other opposing side wall where the glass substrate abutting part is not provided, the shock absorbing part 50 is arranged between the abutting partition part 40 and the inner surface of the side wall and at the same time at least one surface of the two surfaces constituting corner parts of the glass substrate to be stored at locations near the four corners of the box main body is arranged to avoid contact with either the abutting part 30 or the abutting partition part 40.
