PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the height of a key switch, in relation to a key switch utilizing link mechanisms. PSOLUTION: A key top 21B has bearing parts 21B-11 and 21B-12 on its lower surface. A housing 25B has sliding guide parts 25B-11 and 25B-12 on its upper surface. First and second links 31B and 32B are combined into a V shape by rotatably supporting their rotating shanks 31-4 and 31-5 by the bearing parts 21B-11 and 21B-12 of the key top 21B, respectively and causing fan-shaped gear parts 31-6 and 31-7 to mesh with each other, and sliding shanks 31B-3a and 31B-3b are slidably fitted to the sliding guide parts 25B-11 and 25B-12, respectively. When the key top 21B is depressed, the sliding shanks 31B-3a and 31B-3b move in X1 and X2 directions, respectively, and the first and second links 31B and 32B rotate in directions making them flat.
