PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an isotopomer absorption spectroscopic analysis instrument and method capable of performing the precise measurement of an isotope ratio by making an absorption signal level almost same with respect to different isotope species. ;SOLUTION: In the isotopomer absorption spectroscopic analysis instrument, a sample cell 21 capable of taking a plurality of light paths different in length is provided and a plurality of laser beams A, B are allowed to be incident on the sample cell 21 so as to advance on the light paths different in length to take different light path lengths and an isotope presence ratio in a molecule is measured from a ratio of absorption signal intensities. By this constitution, an absorption signal level is made almost same with respect to different isotope species and an isotope prescence ratio can be measured precisely.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
