PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce video information such as movie content recorded in a large-capacity information recording medium such as a Blu-ray Disc (R) with high image quality and high definition. PSOLUTION: A video information reproducing device (100) is provided with a first conversion means (101) for converting first video information into second information of a second format using a field included in a frame as a unit, a correction means (104) for correcting an abnormal part in which a combination of fields constituting the second video information is abnormal, a second conversion means (102) for converting the corrected abnormal part and a normal part in which a combination of the fields included in the second video information is normal, into third video information of a first format, and a reproducing means (105) for reproducing the third video information.
