摘要

Surgery for macular hole(MH) is one ofthe mostsuccessful vitreo-retinal procedures in thisera, with holeclosureratesatmorethan 90%.[1]However, thereareattempts to further increasethesuccess rateespecially in large MH. Area ofinternallimitingmembrane peeling (AILMP) hasbeen associated with postoperative holeclosure, though limited publicationsabout thisexist in literature.[2],[3] Wecongratulatetheauthors forconducting this studywhich throws light on the need for large AILMP,especially in large MH.[4] Surgeries done by three differentsurgeons byadopting the procedure overalong period ofclinical practiceexplains the positiveacceptability ofthesame by other surgeons.
