摘要

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method which precisely and efficiently execute calibration in a multi-viewpoint image photographing system. PSOLUTION: A luminous sphere is photographed from different directions by a camera being a calibration processing object, and the center position of the sphere is extracted as a feature point from photographic image frames, and feature point correspondence based on extracted sphere center position is executed, and a fundamental matrix is calculated on the basis of feature point correspondence data. The luminous sphere hardly affected by illumination environments or the like is used as a calibration tool, and the center position of the sphere is detected in real time to estimate the fundamental matrix while executing correspondence, and errors, positional relations, or the like between the estimated fundamental matrix and corresponding points are evaluated to indicate the number of required corresponding points and the position of the sphere to be placed on a three-dimensional space, and thus the more precise fundamental matrix can efficiently be calculated.
