PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chain transmission capable of reducing vibration and noise generated when a standard chain is meshed with teeth of a sprocket, and capable of smoothly disengaging the standard chain from the sprocket.;SOLUTION: In the chain transmission, a roller 52 of the standard roller chain 50 or a bush of a standard bushing chain is meshed with teeth of a sprocket 11a (11b). The sprocket 11a (11b) has at least two different tooth form pitch angles, and the tooth form pitch angles are irregularly arranged along a circumferential direction of a pitch circle pc11, and a root diameter df or a root distance dc of the sprocket 11a (11b) is larger than a root diameter or a root distance of a standard sprocket.
