PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for purifying a gasified gas, which can make activated carbon to efficiently adsorb dioxin compounds and high boiling point hydrocarbon compounds in the gasified gas and can efficiently release the absorbed high boiling point hydrocarbon compounds, when the activated carbon is reclaimed, and to provide a method for purifying the gasified gas.;SOLUTION: This apparatus for purifying the gasified gas, which has an activated carbon type adsorption apparatus 1 equipped with two or more activated carbon adsorption towers 1a, 1b in parallel to adsorb off dioxin compounds and high boiling point hydrocarbon compounds liquid or solid at ordinary temperature and at atmospheric pressure in the gasified gas obtained by thermally cracking organic wastes or solid organic materials, is operated, while switching the two or more activated carbon adsorption towers 1a, 1b are switched, and a reclamation gas at ≥80°C not containing oxygen, such as steam is passed, through the activated carbon adsorption tower not used for the adsorbing-off to release and reclaim the adsorbed substances.
