PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a burden on patients by optimizing the kinds and number of collection tubes to receive specimens necessary for examination.;SOLUTION: In this collection tube selecting method of combining a plurality of kinds of prescribed collection tubes of various volumes, and selecting the collection tube for receiving the specimen of the quantity necessary for examination, includes steps of: acquiring the specimen of the quantity necessary for the examination on the basis of examined items of a patient; acquiring all of the combinations to have the total volume of the collection tubes more than the quantity of acquired specimen, from the plurality of kinds of combinations of the specific collection tubes of various volumes; and deciding one combination on the basis of the number of collection tubes, the total volume and the volume to the largest collection tube included in the combination, from the acquired combinations of the collection tubes.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
