PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance operability while ensuring general-purpose properties, by obtaining a crime-prevention thumb-turn which enables switching between left and right selective mounting positions and which enables the determination of a locked/unlocked state.;SOLUTION: Characteristically, this crime-prevention thumb-turn is equipped with: a thumb-turn base 23 which is mounted on an indoor surface of a door 1; a thumb-turn core 31 which is detachably provided in the base 23 so as to transfer a rotational operating force of the thumb-turn 17 to a lock case A; a marking gear 37 which is detachably provided in the base 23 so as to interlock with the core 31; a core turning position mark which is provided in the core 31; a left-and-right-selective-mounting-position mark for the core, which is provided in the base 23 so as to indicate a turning position of the core turning position mark; a gear turning position mark which is provided in the marking gear 37; a left-and-right-selective-mounting-position mark for the gear, which is provided in the base 23 so as to indicate a turning position of the gear turning position mark; a window part 75 which is provide in the base 23; and a mark for visual recognition, which is provided in the marking gear so as to provide different indications in the window part at each prescribed turning angle.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
