PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve maintainability and safety with simple constitution in a passenger conveyor.;SOLUTION: The passenger conveyor 30 is composed of steps 4 driven to circulate; a traveling drive source 5 for driving the steps 4; a handrail 6 driven to circulate synchronously with the steps 4; and a handrail driving device 40 for driving the handrail 6.
