PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor-driven power steering device capable of suppressing ill influence of the road surface noise on a steering mechanism certainly using a simple constitution and thereby suppressing the drop of the steering feeling. PSOLUTION: The motor-driven power steering device is to perform the steering assist by giving the power of a motor 9 to the steering mechanism A leading from a steering member 1 to the steering vehicle wheels 4, wherein the steering mechanism A is equipped with a rack shaft 32 to whose left and right ends the steering vehicle wheels 4 are coupled and a visco-elastic member 10 having a predetermined viscosity and elasticity, and the visco-elastic member 10 is installed in such an arrangement that the viscosity and the elasticity of the member 10 act on the rack shaft 32.
