PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power-saving wireless LAN system for relieving a power load imposed on a terminal apparatus side in a standby mode and to provide a power-saving method thereof and a program thereof. PSOLUTION: In the power-saving wireless LAN system wherein an access point 1, a wireless LAN station 2, and a terminal apparatus 3 are interconnected by a wireless LAN network, when the wireless LAN station is in a standby mode, the access point includes a means for aborting packets other than a start packet and adding the start packet to a beacon signal to the wireless LAN station when receiving the start packet to transmit the resulting beacon signal, the wireless LAN station in the standby mode includes a means for restoring to an ordinary mode when receiving the start packet and asserting an apparatus start signal to the terminal apparatus, and the terminal apparatus includes a means for restoring the standby mode into the ordinary mode when receiving the apparatus start signal.
