PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side collision load-supporting structure and a side collision load-supporting method for a vehicle body capable of more certainly supporting the side collision load by a load-supporting member.;SOLUTION: A recession part 21 is provided on an outer leg part 8Lo, and the outer leg part 8Lo is deformed into an approximately doglegged shape when the side collision load F is inputted to a vehicle seat 1.
