PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit achieving favorable light emitting characteristics of an organic EL device.;SOLUTION: The organic EL device includes a drive circuit and a light emitting part ELP. The drive circuit includes a driving transistor TDrv, a video signal writing transistor TSig and a capacitor part C1. A first voltage to supply a current through the driving transistor TDrv to the light emitting part ELP and a second voltage to control the potential difference between a second node and the cathode electrode provided in the light emitting part ELP so as not to exceed the threshold voltage of the light emitting part ELP are selectively applied from a power supply unit 100 to one of the source/drain regions of the driving transistor TDrv.
