PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass electrode for an ozone generator and a discharge tube for the ozone generator which reduces an energy being converted into heat and reinforces a discharge light by increasing the energy converted into visible light amount physical energies generated by a discharge phenomenon when generating the ozone.;SOLUTION: The discharge tube 12 for the ozone generator is equipped with a glass electrode 10 for the ozone generator and a metal electrode 11 for the ozone generator. The glass electrode 10 for the ozone generator has a glass electrode dielectric layer 1 which consists of dielectric glass, a luminescent layer 2 which consists of a luminescent body which is arranged at one side of the glass electrode dielectric layer 1 and a glass electrode dielectric layer 3 which is arranged at the other side of the glass electrode dielectric layer. Since a part of the physical energy is converted into a visible light as an excitation light by the luminescent body, the physical energy which is converted into heat can be decreased while the discharge light is reinforced.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
