PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stop a movement of the tongue and to keep the tongue at a stable position within the oral cavity while taking (molding) a dental impression of the lower jaw.;SOLUTION: A ready-made dental tray for taking an impression of the lower jaw is provided. A substrate is attached to the outside of a tongue-side wall in the middle of the tray by fixation or adhesion, and a taste inducing substance is adhered to, applied to or infiltrated into the substrate. When molding an impression, the tray with an impression material is first inserted into the oral cavity. A patient is then ordered to move the tip of the tongue to the inducing substance applied on the tray and to touch the substance lightly with the tongue. While the patient is feeling pleasure of the taste sensed by the tip of the tongue with the inducing substance, a movement of the tongue is stopped to make the tongue rest at a stable position of the oral cavity naturally.
