PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reclaiming a file in order to reuse a file for an office work, and a binding implement therefor.;SOLUTION: In this method for reclaiming the file, the binding implement and a surface cover are separated from a worn-out or damaged file, and the binding implement is fitted on a new surface cover, or a new binding implement is fitted on the surface cover. In this binding implement for the file, fixing parts 6 are provided above and below a temporary fitting material 4, and through-holes 7 through which rivets 9 projected to the inside part of a back cover 2 are inserted are provided on this fixing part. A side plate part 12 of the binding implement 3 is provided on the center of one side part of the temporary fitting material through a cutting part 11' of the other side of an attachment material 10 provided through a cutting part 11. This side plate part is provided with the other side plate part 12' between which a central plate part 13 is placed. Binding holes 15 are provided at relatively facing positions of both these side plate parts, and hooking holes 16 are provided on both upper and lower side parts 17 of the central plate part.
