PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an accurate estimation method of hot strength of coke and to provide a manufacturing method of coke for accurately realizing target hot strength of coke.;SOLUTION: The estimation method of coke strength after a hot reaction (CSR) of coke from a blended coal comprises deciding a reaction rate (CRI) of the coke from the blended coal based on a weighed average of CRI's of coke from single coals and estimating the CSR of the coke from the blended coal based on the obtained CRI of the coke from the blended coal and a surface fracture strength (DI1506) of the coke from the blended coal. The CRI of the coke from the blended coal is decided based on the weighted average of CRI of the coke from single coals and the weighted average of the total expansion coefficient (TD) of the coke from single coals. The manufacturing method of the coke comprises estimating the coke strength after the hot reaction using the estimation method of the coke strength after the hot reaction and adjusting the blending ratio of the single coals constituting the blended coal.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
