Continuous casting apparatus of high cleanliness steel by tundish

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous casting method for economically and practically manufacturing high cleanness steel, by suppressing an outflow of large size inclusions when molten steel is distributed to a mold from a tundish, and also to provide equipment used for the method.;SOLUTION: The tundish 1 for continuous casting is partitioned into an injection bath 2 and a distribution bath 3 by arranging a weir 4. One or two weir holes 5 through which molten steel is jetted from the injection bath 2 to the distribution 3 are opened at the lower portion of the weir 4 contacting with a bottom wall of the tundish. In the distribution bath 3, the weir holes 5 and a discharge opening 6 are arranged, keeping a positional relationship such that jetting areas 7 for the molten steel jetting from the weir holes 5 and an immersion nozzle outflow area 8 do not cross each other.
