PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an in-mold expansion molded product of a polylactic acid-based resin by which heat resistance is improved and to provide the in-mold expansion molded product of the polylactic acid-based resin in which heat resistance is improved. PSOLUTION: Expandable particles containing a polylactic acid-based resin having 10 J/g endotherm value (RSBendo/SB) in differential scanning calorimetry at 2C/min heating rate as a base material resin, in which a ratio (BSBexo/SB/BSBendo/SB) of a calorific value (BSBexo/SB) to an endotherm value (BSBendo/SB) exceeds 0.20 and the difference (BSBendo/SB- BSBexo/SB) between the calorific value (BSBexo/SB) and the endotherm value (BSBendo/SB) is 0 J/g and 15 J/g are used in order to provide the in-mold expansion molded product. The method for producing the in-mold expansion molded product comprises a molding step for obtaining the in-mold expansion molded product by mutually fusing the expandable particles and a curing step for retaining the temperature of the in-mold expansion molded product obtained in the molding step under the atmosphere of [Tg+5]C to [Tg+30]C.
