PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new promoter enabling the expression of a protein in a mold and containing a DNA having a specific base sequence and a DNA hybridizable with the DNA under stringent condition and capable of expressing a gene connected to the downstream.;SOLUTION: This new promoter contains a DNA having the base sequence of formula or a DNA hybridizable with the DNA having the above base sequence under stringent condition and capable of expressing a gene connected to the downstream. A desired protein can be expressed in large quantity by transducing the promoter into Acremonium cellulolyticus. The promoter can be prepared by preparing a library from a genom DNA derived from Acremonium cellulolyticus by conventional method and screening with a probe produced from a partial gene of protein having highest expression amount in the mold.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
