PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To predict a trend keyword which many people use in near future with search engines, from rumor information on Internet, and provide a trend prediction device providing information relating to the predicted trend keyword.;SOLUTION: A trend prediction server 10 as this trend prediction device collects ping information 200 as rumor information from an updating notifying ping server 20, extracts keywords 111 from the collected ping information 200, quantifies the status of using the keywords 111 in the collected ping information 200, monitoring the status of using the quantified keywords 111 in time series, and then selects a keyword 111 as the trend keyword 121 out of the extracted keywords 111.
