PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture an electromagnetic wave frequency selection filter required for wavelength multiplex optical communication, etc., by using semiconductor minute processing technology, etc.;SOLUTION: Structure of this delay line electromagnetic wave frequency selection filter has a delay structure constituted of a linear section 11 and a delay line section 12. Distance between side wall surfaces of both of the linear section 11 and the delay line section 12 at the closest part of them is the one which generates adequate interaction for both. Propagation time difference to be requested from a frequency band is generated by the delay line section 12 constituted of a semi-circular waveguide 12a at the delay line section and a linear waveguide 12b for delay arrangement.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
