PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for inspecting leakage of piping, capable of quickly and easily inspecting piping of different lengths, and a construction method for a unit house mounted with the piping inspected by this inspecting method. ;SOLUTION: This inspection device comprises a plug 3, a test bench 4, and a piston 5 and a stand 6 mounted to the test bench 4. The plug 3 consists of a plug part 31 for closing the end face of piping 1, and a locking part 32. The stand 6 is provided with a support part 62 for locking the plug 3 and supporting a pipe 11. A cap 7 for closing the end face of the piping 1 is mounted on the tip end of a piston rod 52 in the piston 5.
