The invention relates to the technical field of plant biotechnology and, more specifically, to the identification and characterization of the csb3-1 mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana, as well as to the use thereof in the regulation of resistance to diseases caused by biotrophic pathogens and to the applications of same in the generation of plants that are resistant to said type of pathogens.
