AN ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT DERIVED FROM CHLOROFORM EXTRACT OF FRESH COW URINE

Collecting 2.5 litres cow urine in the early morning. Filtering the cow urine with the help of cotton sheet. After fitration mixing equal amount of cow urine and chloroform and shaking thoroughly 5-6 times at the interval of 4-5 minutes. Collecting lower fraction of chloroform with the help of a separating funnel from biphasic layer of cow urine and chloroform fraction. Evaporating chloroform on water bath. Collecting brown oily fraction after evaporation. The yield being 0.8g/L. Redissolving the oily fraction in 0.1% Tween 20. Preparing different concentrations of this fraction (1000, 2000, 3000, 4000 and 5000 ng/ml) in water for its antifungal and antibacterial activity.
