The present invention describes a method for binding books or thesis, wherein a rectangular-shaped flexible cover for manufacturing paperbounds is prepared; the information of the thesis or book cover is printed on the front portion thereof using printing means such as a laser printer, ink jet, Xerox machine, offset, and typography amongst others; the cover or paperbound of the thesis or book is bui the book block is located over the base strip, which already has its respective guards. The inventive method is characterised in that the cover is totally coated with a transparent, non-laminated, self adhesive conventional film for protecting the same, which also includes the printed information of the book cover. The cover may be hard such as: paper, card, plastic with adhesive rubber amongst others, but also may be flexible such as: Binding fabric, natural or synthetic leather, etc.
