PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow publishing books to satisfy personal needs of publishing only for oneself with ease and at low cost without passing through many hands and also specifying editing method and book-binding method by a customer. SOLUTION: A book-binding system comprises a server 6 to store a variety of templates 7, 8 and a customer PC1 to download the templates 7, 8 from the server 6 and transmit layout information of the templates 7, 8 specified by the customer together an original copy, when the server 6 receives the information and copy from the PC1, the copy is edited in the editing method designated by the information.
