METHOD FOR SPLEEN SPARING DISTAL RESECTION OF PANCREAS

A method for the spleen sparing distal resection of pancreas comprises laparotomy, the revision of the peritoneal organs, the cut of the gastrocolic ligament, the separation of the initial segment of the splenic artery and splenic vein, the mobilization and the resection of the distal segment of the pancreas sparing the blood vessel of the spleen, the suturing of the major pancreatic duct, the hemostasis control, the sanitization of the peritoneal cavity, the application of the tubular drainages to the site of resection from the couneraperture cut in the left subcostal area, and the complete suturing of the laparotomic wound. After hemostasis control, the blood vessels of the spleen are covered by the band of the omentum fixed to the parietal peritoneum with the separate interrupted sutures.
