Pre-S unglycosylated or partially glycosylated of Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) in which one or both asparagines at positions 15 and 123 of a pre-S wildtype are substituted by an amino acid selected from the group consisting of alanine, arginine, cysteine, glutamine, glutamic acid, glycine, histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, proline, serine, threonine, tryptophan, tyrosine and valine.
