A guide for positioning a guide wire on a femur to allow a tunnel to be formedin thefemur along the guide wire is provided. The guide includes an elongated bodyhaving proximaland distal ends, and a distal tip formed on the distal end of the elongatedbody, the distal tiphaving a diameter substantially similar in size to the diameter of the desiredresultant femoraltunnel, wherein the elongated body and the distal tip are cannulated toreceive the guide wire.
