A method for controlling a double-attributive session border controller includes a first session border controller SBC and a second SBC, the first SBC and the second SBC are attributive each other. The method includes: the second SBC sends message to the first SBC; the second SBC judges if the response of message by the first SBC is faulty; if so, the second SBC receives the registration of terminal device whose attributive address is the first SBC. It is realized that the backup address SBC does not receive the registration of attributive address terminal when the attributive address SBC of the first and the second SBC is not faulty by mutual message monitoring between the double-attributive first SBC and second SBC.
