EXTERNAL FIXATOR FOR ANGLE CORRECTION ON A BONE, IN PARTICULAR ON THE HEAD OF THE TIBIA

The external fixator for angle correction on a bone has an elongate head element (10) which at each of its ends has a receiving opening (12, 13) and at one end has a laterally protruding bracket (11), provided with an end bore (30), and at its other end has a retaining flange (17) that protrudes from the same side as the bracket (11). The fixator further comprises an elongate shaft element (20) which at each of its ends has a receiving opening (22, 23) and at one end has an arm (24), inclined away from the shaft element (20) such that it encloses therewith an angle (α) of 110° to 160° and is provided with an end bore (31), and which has a further retaining flange (27) between its ends, on the side opposite from the arm (24). The fixator is also provided with a hinge screw (32) which can be inserted into the bores (30, 31) in the arm (24) and bracket (11), respectively, to form a hinge joint and which has a continuous central through-channel (34), with fastening elements (14) which are each held in clamping devices (16) of a receiving opening (12, 13; 22, 23) and can be fixed on the bone side, and with a distraction element (40) which at each of its ends is articulated (18, 28) on a retaining flange (17, 27).
