SLIDER ASSEMBLY FOR LENS COVER AND DIGITAL CAMERA HAVING THE SAME

A slider assembly is provided between a camera body and a lens cover to enable a user to open and close the lens cover with ease. The slider assembly includes a fixed plate having a pair of spaced-apart wing portions, a pair of first hinges and a guide slot extending in a sliding direction. A sliding plate is slidably coupled to the fixed plate, the sliding plate having a pair of spaced-apart guide portions for slidably receiving the wing portions, a pair of second hinges and a guide shaft slidably inserted into the guide slot. A pair of elastic biasing members is provided to apply an elastic biasing force to the sliding plate in the sliding direction, each of the elastic biasing members having a first end secured to the corresponding one of the first hinges and a second end secured to the corresponding one of the second hinges.
