Development of Digital Camera 'Optio S' with Zoom Lens which have Sliding Lens System

摘要

In a camera having a retractable lens barrel wherein the distances between the lens groups thereof are reduced when at a fully-retracted position,there are limits as to how far the camera can be miniaturized,especially in regard to making the camera slimmer.In order to solve this problem,we have developed a "sliding lens system" in which one lens group is moved outside of the optical axis when the lens groups are fully retracted.In this paper,we describe an ultra slim digital camera which uses this mechanism and has a 3x optical zoom lens system.
