DEVICE FOR COMPENSATING FOR THE SYNERGISTIC EFFECTS OF A SO-CALLED MYSTERIOUS WATCH

So-called mysterious watch (1) comprising a seconds arbor (2), a minute pipe (3) and an hour pipe (4) driven respectively by a seconds (5), minute (6) and hour (7) toothed disc. These discs (5, 6, 7) which are at least partially transparent are mounted coaxially between the dial (8) and the back (9) of the watch (1). The movement of these toothed discs (5, 6, 7) is transmitted by drive members confined invisibly within the ring (11) of the watch (1) case. Said case possesses a device comprising a “false seconds” disc (10), a double setting wheel (12) and at least one intermediate gear train (14). The “false seconds” disc (10), identical in mass and diameter to the seconds disc (5), is fitted freely on the perimeter of the hour pipe (4). The double setting wheel (12) transmits the speed of rotation of the seconds disc (5) to the “false seconds” disc (10). The intermediate gear train (14) gives the “false seconds” disc (10) the opposite direction of rotation to that of the seconds disc (5). This device thus compensates for rate errors if the wrist is moved suddenly.
