A nucleic acid participating in the formation of a presenilin-2-exon 5-deficient splicing variant, is new. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an inhibitor inhibiting the binding between a protein and the novel nucleic acid; and (2) a method of screening for the inhibitor of (1).
