Disclosed is a high-refractive-index resin composition which enables formation of a transparent film-like optical member having high refractive index. Also disclosed is a film-like optical member using the high-refractive-index resin composition, and a method for producing a high-refractive-index resin composition. Specifically disclosed is a high-refractive-index resin composition which includes a metal-containing high-refractive-index intermediate obtained by mixing and heating titanium alkoxide, diethanolamine and water, and then removing an alcohol, which is a by-product generated by hydrolysis, by distillation. The high-refractive-index resin composition is characterized by being obtained by further adding diethanolamine and water after removal of the alcohol by distillation.
