Cosmetic or pharmaceutical preparation comprises: (a) an antiinflammatory active agent comprising 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-1-(4-hydroxy-phenyl)-propan-1-one (I); (b) = 1-4 antiinflammatory active compound; and one or more components (a) and (b) compatible with cosmetic and/or pharmaceutical base material, auxiliary material or additives. An independent claim is included for the 3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxy-phenyl)-1-(4-hydroxy-phenyl)-propan-1-one (I) useful as a drug. ACTIVITY : Antiinflammatory; Dermatological; Antiallergic.
