A mixing and drying apparatus for drying the materials for an animal nutrient and chitosan salt is provided to improve the work environment such as dust and offensive odor and to remove the danger of accident. A mixing and drying apparatus for drying the materials for an animal nutrient and chitosan salt comprises a first screw conveyer(15) for receiving source materials; a second screw conveyor(17) for transferring the supplied source materials; a mixing drier(11) for mixing the transferred source materials by a certain moisture content to dry it; a liquid storage tank for supplying the liquid to be mixed with the source materials to the mixing drier; a preheating heater for making hot wind; a temperature control heater for controlling the hot wind to provide it to the mixing drier; a source material discharge unit(13) for discharging the source materials mixed and dried at the mixing drier; and a control unit for controlling the temperature of the hot wind and the transfer of the source materials.
