PURPOSE: A method for preparing an electrode for a lithium battery, an electrode prepared by the method and a lithium battery having a capacitor function employing the electrode are provided, to improve energy density, electric power density and portable convenience. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dissolving a binder in an organic solvent; dissolving polypyrrole in the mixture; adding an electrode active material capable of inserting/deserting a lithium ion to the obtained mixture; and coating the final mixture on an electrode current collector and drying it. Also the method comprises the steps of coating an electrode active material capable of inserting/deserting a lithium ion, binder, and organic solvent on the electrode plate, and drying; dissolving polypyrrole in an organic solvent to prepare a first solution; dissolving an oxidizing agent in an organic solvent to prepare a second solution; dipping the electrode plate into the first solution and drying it; dipping the electrode plate into the second solution and leaving it alone to polymerize polypyrrole; and washing the electrode plate with an organic solvent and drying it.
