DEVICE FOR MITIGATING THE CABLE VIBRATION IN CABLE-STAYED BRIDGE

A vibration damper of the cable stayed bridge is provided that the vibration of the cable is reduced since the sliding member and base member are slid relatively and the friction and restoration are generated. A vibration damper(100) of the cable stayed bridge comprises a sliding member(40) having the curved surface it is combined among the cable and bridge deck in a one, and a base member(60) having the bending gin contact surface(62)-contacting the surface of the sliding member. The friction is generated between the surface and contact surface of the sliding member. The base member is arranged in order to relatively slide about the sliding member.
