A naringenin or apigenin O-methyl ether compound is provided to manufacture naringenin and apigenin which is flavonoid compound and in which a substitution radical selectively sticks to location of O-methylated ether. A naringenin or apigenin O-methyl ether compound is indicated as a chemical formula. A 7-O-methyl naringenin is manufactured by mixing the naringenin with anhydrous acetone, potassium carbonate and dimethyl sulfate. A 7-O-methyl apigenin is manufactured by oxidizing the 7-O-methyl naringenin to DDQ[2,4-dichloro-5,6-dicyano-1,4-benzoquinone].
