A composition for preventing and treating cancer, containing norartocarpetin seperated from Morus ihou having inhibitory activity on protein phosphatase CK II is provided to induce apoptosis of blood cancer cell by inhibiting the activity on protein phosphatase CK II. A composition for preventing and treating cancer comprises norartocarpetin of the chemical formula 1 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts as an active ingredient. The norartocarpetin of the chemical formula 1 shows inhibitory activity on protein phosphatase CK II and induces the apoptosis of cancer cell. The norartocarpetin is separated from Morus ihou. A health food for preventing and treating cancer comprises the norartocarpetin of the chemical formula 1 or its pharmaceutically acceptable salts as an active ingredient, pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, diluent or excipient.
