An eccentric oscillating reduction gear (11) produced at low cost without reduction in the ability of torque transmission. That portion of a case (12) that is in a region (50) in which inner teeth of the case (12) and outer teeth of a pinion (20) mesh with each other is adapted to be bendable in the direction of reducing the curvature radius of the case. Even if rotation of the pinion (20) causes a meshing load to be concentrated near a portion farthest from that portion of the meshing region (50) at which the inner and outer teeth ideally mesh, that portion of the case (12) that is near such a portion is bent in the direction of reducing the curvature radius. As a result, the meshing load is dispersed and equalized in the circumferential direction of the case (12).
